Custom Website Development

STAGE 1: INFORMATION

We need to know you! In order to build an effective website, Luminous Productions needs to know as much about your organization and business as possible. We need to know your mission, your goals, the purpose of your web presence and your target audience.

STAGE 2: PLANNING

Based on your organization’s profile, we will begin developing a site map. We then explore solutions and technologies needed to achieve your online goals and create a plan to get you to that point. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to provide feedback and further input into the direction of the site before content gathering. Once the site map is made, we start collecting content.

STAGE 3: DESIGN

Using the site map and content collected, the design stage begins. Site mock-ups are created and a design is rendered. Often times, client photography is shot at this point and resources are put together to provide a soft design for review. Input opportunities are provided to better drive the desired direction of the site design.

STAGE 4: DEVELOPMENT

Once the design has been solidified, development begins on the site content and functionality. This stage also includes the implementation of technologies chosen and the integration of features selected in the design stage. Because of the nature of the development stage, at this point we should have content, design, functionality and goals nailed down. Significant deviation is not recommended.

STAGE 5: DELIVERY/LAUNCH

In stage 5, the finished website is provided for your review and testing.  The final touches are made at this point and the site is launched upon customer approval. Further  search engine optimization may be applied at this point, depending upon client contract details.

*STAGE 6: OPTIONAL ASSESSMENT STAGE

This stage is an optional add-on for clients who want to further evaluate the effectiveness of their website and make tweaks or adjustments based on information learned post launch. This stage is typically performed between 3 and 6 months after the launch date. A variety of analytical data is used to orchestrate the fine tuning of your site.
